Love Notes

In preparation for making the place cards for our wedding, my Maid of Honor (Christine) and I took a trip to Paper Source where we were introduced (re-introduced for me from childhood) to the wonderful world of embossing. You probably can't tell from the picture, but the little bear is embossed and the little heart balloons are just punched out of leftover scrapbook paper. This one was super easy and fun to make, but I feel like I could have done the strings better. This one ended up going to Christine and I wrote in the card that I'm going to do a whole series of animals with balloons cards to her so I guess there's always next time.

Unfortunately, I accidentally drew on the bear's head, but I'm just going to say that adds character. :]

Love Notes

Since my husband and I have known each other, we've pretty consistently left little notes for each other. Love notes are fun to give when you may not always see the other person or know it will be a surprise for them to find in the middle of their day. We've left them on the bathroom mirror, in luggage, in lunches, on the refrigerator..mostly in places where we think the other will be able to come across it by surprise.

Pictured above is our current bathroom mirror collection.

Every now and then, it's fun to jazz up the neon pink post-it love note. Although, the simple notes can often be the best, it can also be fun and easy to get creative with love notes.

My love note today is made with Paper Source A6 Flat Cards, Colorbox Pigment stamp pads in Robin's Egg and Gold, Hero Arts lowercase printer's type lowercase alphabet stamps and Recollections clear stamps using acrylic blocks. The clear stamps were originally purchased for some crazy idea that I had for our wedding but were never used because I was somewhat intimidated by them. Peel the stamp off the sheet, stick it to the block, stamp, and stick it back to the clear sheet after?? Sounded crazy to me, there's no way it can stick to that many things and maintain it's stickiness!

I was very pleased with the clear stamps. They were super easy to clean (only water needed) and stuck right back onto the clear sheet afterwards just like they said they would.

Fortunately, love notes do not have restrictions for significant others only. They can be for friends, family, or anybody you just want to tell that you're thinking of them!

Spread the love!
